The first day of the rest of his life: Albert Woodfox

The first thing that Albert Woodfox did after being released from a Louisiana prison on Friday was try to visit his mother’s grave. The cemetery was closed. So he went back the next day. We interviewed George Kendall, one of a team of attorneys who worked for years to gain the release of the final incarcerated member of the Angola 3. Kendall says his client never lost hope, even during his 42 years of solitary confinement.
