TAKE ACTION: Call on the DOJ and FBI to Ensure Justice and Accuracy in Forensics‏

A historic review of criminal cases involving hair microscopy has found that FBI analysts provided faulty testimony or filed erroneous lab reports in 96% of the 268 cases reviewed. Thousands more cases are still waiting for review while many of the defendants in these cases remain in prison. The FBI has committed to working with the Innocence Project and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers to complete the review of all impacted cases. Join us in calling on the FBI and DOJ to complete this review quickly and to establish an independent investigation into why obviously invalid forensic testimony and reports were allowed for so many decades.
