Rally to Be Held In Sioux Falls Asking President Obama to Reject Keystone XL Pipeline

Sioux Falls, SD – A rally will be held in downtown Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at 3:30pm Friday May 1st, in advance of President Obama’s visit to the state one week later.

The rally is intended to send a message to the President from Indigenous communities and non-native South Dakotans asking him to reject the Presidential Permit for the Keystone XL pipeline.

Formal press release with location will be sent Friday morning.

The Indigenous Environmental Network is an international environmental justice non-profit that works with tribal grassroots organizations to build the capacity of Indigenous communities.

Dakota Rural Action is a grassroots family agriculture and conservation group that organizes South Dakotans to protect our family farmers and ranchers, natural resources, and unique way of life.
