Global Indigenous Womens Caucus Meeting -New York, NY April 16th-17th

Announcing the Global Indigenous Women's Caucus annual meeting in preparation for the 14th Session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (taking place April 20th - May 1st, 2015) at United Nations Headquarters, New York. 
 
The Global Indigenous Women's Caucus (GIWC) is an Indigenous Women’s platform for collective action in diplomacy, advancement and fulfillment of the rights of Indigenous Peoples in general and the rights of Indigenous Women and Girls in particular. The Caucus provides ample space for dialogue, partnership building, leadership capacity and development of collective strategies in UN processes. 
 
The United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) is an advisory body to the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), with a mandate to discuss indigenous issues related to economic and social development, culture, the environment, education, health and human rights.
