End the Prohibition on Hemp
Hemp is an important agricultural product. It’s used for everything from nutritious foods to biofuels, and America consumes more than anywhere else in the world.
But commercial production is currently banned by the federal government.
Why? Because decades ago, hemp was confused with its cousin – the marijuana plant – even though it has no psychoactive properties. It’s an outdated prohibition, and it’s time to roll it back.
The Industrial Hemp Farming Act would do just that, allowing American farmers to begin growing hemp for use in everyday products.
We’re calling on Congress to give the bill their full support. Add your name and help us make the case!
