Death penalty a sticking point in Tsarnaev jury questioning

The first day of questioning prospective jurors for the trial of accused Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev showed that his defense attorneys were right to worry about the ability to seat a jury but not for the reason they’ve been pushing.

Tsarnaev’s lawyers have been insistent that the massive publicity surrounding the bombing and the manhunt and the suffering of the victims and everything in between will make it impossible to find enough jurors in and around Boston to sit in impartial judgment.
