TV segment on Mumia today Fri., 1/7 on GRITtv‏

Mumia Abu-Jamal On Friday, January 7, there will be an important media milestone for Mumia's case, when Laura Flanders' progressive daily 30-minute program, GRITtv (which airs on dozens of stations nationwide), spends half its show on that case, from the viewpoint of his advocates. The guests will be:

-- Johanna Fernandez, professor of history at Baruch College and the producer and writer of the new documentary, "Justice on Trial: The Case of Mumia Abu-Jamal"

-- Linn Washington, a columnist at the Philadelphia Tribune who's covered the Mumia case for three decades, and a professor of journalism at Temple University.

Thanks to Laura Flanders and her wonderful producer Gina Kim for their great work to bring Mumia's case to a larger audience.
