12 Days of Christmas: A Call to Action

December 14 - 25

Demand a Christmas award of clemency for Leonard Peltier. Call the White House comment line at 202-456-1111 or 202-456-1112 each day during this period. The comment line accepts calls Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., EST.

ZOOM IN Campaign

Remember that the deadline for submissions for the ZOOM IN Campaign is January 31. Thanks to all of you who have participated thus far. Beginning on December 26, let’s push harder for an Executive Review of the Peltier case by Attorney General Eric Holder. For background and instructions, see
www.whoisleonardpeltier.info/zoom1.htm. Get out in your community and use the campaign to educate others about the Peltier case and motivate others to actively support Leonard. We prefer that you follow the campaign plan, but we also will accept letters and petitions to AG Holder regarding an Executive Review of the case.

Welcome Lawrence Sampson

We’re pleased to announce an addition to the LP-DOC staff. Long-time supporter Lawrence Sampson has served with Leonard’s Committee from time to time and we share Leonard’s excitement that Lawrence has agreed to return. Among other things, Lawrence will serve as co-coordinator of the LPDOC support branches. He can be contacted at
lawrenceesampson@yahoo.com.

Lawrence also will be the host of our new Blog Talk Radio show. We’ll go live in 2010. Stay tuned for details.

February 6 Events

It’s time to plan your event/activity in recognition of the 34th anniversary of Leonard’s arrest on 06 February 2010. Due to the political nature of the Peltier case, a high level of public awareness is critical if new legal efforts (including clemency) are to succeed. Make the day count. For ideas of things you can do to educate your community about the Peltier case, see
www.whoisleonardpeltier.info/educate.htm.

Tips for planning events can be found at
www.whoisleonardpeltier.info/events.htm. Be sure to let us know your plans so we can help promote your event.

Donate

Many activities and initiatives are planned for 2010, but we need your help. Make a one-time donation or pledge to donate monthly, quarterly, or annually at
www.whoisleonardpeltier.info/donate.htm. You may also send a check or money order made payable to the “LPDOC” to LP-DOC, PO Box 7488, Fargo, ND 58106. Thank you for your generous support.
