Roundup: Net Neutrality

Access and the Internet
If Internet service providers are allowed to choose what content their subscribers can access, it would be bad for everyone but the service providers. A bill that would guarantee Net Neutrality has been introduced in the House. Congress should pass it, and the Obama administration should use its power to make Net Neutrality the law.

We Can't Be Neutral on Net Neutrality
The new chairman of the FCC, Julius Genachowski, didn't pussyfoot around when he was asked to explain the agency's stance on Net Neutrality. "This FCC will support Net Neutrality and will enforce any violation of Net Neutrality principles," he declared. But if the telecom heavyweights have their way, they will be the Internet gatekeepers.

The Internet Faces Frightening, Market Driven Future (but Shouldn't)
Perhaps you've heard the President talk about Net Neutrality. That's the idea that the Internet should continue on its merry way -- letting people go to the sites they like, do what they want and their web providers will allow them to do so. That practice could come to an end if evil telecom giants have their way.
