Leonard Peltier's birthday is Saturday, September 12th.
LA, we need your support.
The Los Angeles Community will be holding a vigil for Leonard Peltier and Ben Carnes (during his fast to bring awareness to Pres. Obama about Peltier's injustice).
The vigil will take place from 1 to 8pm at Nahui Ohlin Cultural Store on Friday September 11th and 1 to 8pm on Saturday September 12th.
There also will be a prayer gathering at 6pm on Saturday the 12th.
People may bring small items for the vigil, artwork and gifts for Peltier's family. At this time, cards are very important!
Artists should get involved and are encouraged to create something small that will bring positive energy to Peltier and his family. (Please nothing larger than what would fit in a shoe box as this may be expensive to ship). Items will be shipped on Monday the 14th.
If any of the artwork or gifts need to be returned to the owner, please pick them up before 8pm on Saturday the 12th. Anything that is left after this date will be sent to Peltier's family, if possible.
