Mobilize

Mobilize! Peltier supporters should create a visible presence at both the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburg and UN Headquarters, NYC... signs, t-shirts, banners... for the eyes and ears of world leaders, including but not limited to Barack Obama. With so many of the world's leaders present, these will be high-security events. But both events also will be widely covered by the media. Remember that a picture is worth a thousand words. Get the message, "Free Peltier," broadcast throughtout the nation and the world!
President Obama's attention will be focused on international affairs next week.

President Obama will speak at the opening of the UN summit on climate change, on 22 September, delivering the traditional speech to the General Assembly during the general debate and attending the Secretary-General’s luncheon for Heads of State and Government. In addition, the President will host the host country’s traditional reception for Heads of State and Government as well as delegations.

For the first time in history, a President of the United States will chair a meeting of the UN Security Council. On 24 September, President Barack Obama will chair a Council summit on nuclear non-proliferation and nuclear disarmament, the fifth such meeting in the history of the United Nations.

Obama also will host the G20 summit on 24-25 September in Pittsburgh.
