4th Annual Honor the Eagle Pow Wow

Well, it's pow wow time, and we are busy getting ready for the 4th Annual Honor the Eagle Pow Wow which will again be held in Starved Rock State Park on May 17 and 18, 2008. Our pow wows are fundraisers for our organization, so that we can continue in the work we do, the programs we offer and the education of the native culture we bring to the general public each year.

We are in need of volunteers to help at the Honor the Eagle Pow Wow. We hope you will help out by picking one of the many shifts we need to fill. We thank you for your help and commitment to Midwest SOARRING Foundation.

Saturday Shifts:
10AM-2PM
2PM-6PM
6PM-10PM

We ask each volunteer to arrive at least 15 minutes before your shift to get checked in and settled into your area.

Sunday Shifts:
10AM-2PM
2PM-6PM
5PM-7PM for cleanup and packing up

Although we would try to put everyone in their area choice, sometimes we may need to change areas. If you have a specific area you would prefer, please indicate that also.

The following areas are currently needed:
-Admissions
-SOARRING Table
-Volunteer, Drum and Dancer Check-in
-Hospitality
-Security

Also needed is help on Friday, May 16 for setup. Any hours will help. Please specify hours you would like to volunteer.

To Volunteer-Please email msfpowwow@aol.com or call 773-585-1744.

ALL VOLUNTEERS ARE INVITED TO THE FEAST WHICH WILL TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY AT 4PM UNDER THE BIG PAVILION.

Again, we thank you for your help.
